The sanctions imposed on Russia and the transport of goods which have become more difficult have greatly affected Viatris’ activities in the largest country in the world.

In response to this decision, the Russian pharmaceutical industry has already set to work to produce more drugs containing the same active ingredient as Viagra, in order to meet the demand.
The production of sildefanil, the generic name for Viagra, has already increased by more than 11% in Russia over the past year.
According to the Russian news agency Tass, 36 Russian companies produce sildefanil.
