Relatives and victims of insecurity in Rosario held a new demonstration on Monday under the slogan “Let’s light up Rosario.”
The call was in request for justice for the victims of the wave of violence that broke out a few years ago in the city, and which has deepened in recent weeks.
With posters, t-shirts and parades, a hundred people approached the Governor’s Office to demand justice.
With the two crimes committed this Monday, since the beginning of 2023 at least 39 homicides have been confirmed in the town of Santa Fe.
The claims were accompanied with candles and a camp in front of the government of the province of Santa Fe
While the demand for greater security was carried out, two new crimes were reported in the city
The call on the corner of Santa Fe and Moreno in the city of Rosario, was carried out a week after the assumption of Claudio Brilloni as Minister of Security of the province of Santa Fe.
Claudio Brilloni, former retired General Commander of the National Gendarmerie, replaced Rubén Rimoldi as Provincial Security Minister, who was in office for half a year.
In silence, relatives lit candles, which they placed between the posters and on the sidewalk of the Rosario headquarters of the Santa Fe government.
The protesters planned to stay until the next morning in front of the local headquarters of the provincial government.
The group’s spokesman, Ezequiel Lowden, stated that they are not certain about the use of the security budget and warned: “They are killing us and nobody does anything.”
The call for the march was made through social networks, with the aim of going to the local headquarters of the Government of Santa Fe and had enormous repercussions in recent days.
The call was launched at the end of last week, given the wave of violence that seems to have no brake in Rosario and the lack of response from the different state agencies.
Ezequiel Lowden, one of the organizers of the mobilization, remarked that “Rosario is the capital of the perfect crime.”
