Line 1 of the Lima Metro announced the temporary suspension of its service between the Angamos and Villa El Salvador stations, in both directions, due to technical failures.

“Dear passengers, we inform you that due to an incident in our system, service will only be provided from Bayóvar Station to San Borja Sur in both directions. The service is suspended between the Angamos stations to Villa El Salvador; the trains are not making stops at these stations, ”says the statement issued on their social media.

They added that, for their safety, passengers who are inside the trains and far from the stations must follow the instructions of the Line 1 staff.

Meanwhile, the Urban Transport Authority (ATU) indicated that “its staff is alert for the restoration of the service in order to inform users in a timely manner.”

Passengers walked the rails

In some images, users can be seen getting off the trains and walking on the rails because the train could not move towards the stations.
