The senator for the National Action Party (PAN), Xóchitl Gálvez, complied with the warning to denounce public officials close to Layda Sansores, governor of Campeche, and the senator who received cash prior to the last elections in the state.
“It comes from public resources”: Xóchitl Gálvez will file a complaint against officials close to Layda Sansores
The PAN legislator said that she will file a complaint with the state prosecutor’s office against the officials who were caught receiving wads of money and that this was from the treasury
This Saturday, February 11, the legislator filed two complaints with the Campeche State Attorney General’s Office (FGECAM) against Raúl Pozos Lanz, Armando Toledo Jamit and Rocío Abreu Artiñano.
Gálvez asked prosecutor Renato Sales that they be investigated for their alleged responsibility in electoral crimes using public resources, crimes of operations with resources of illegal origin, illegal use of powers and embezzlement.

“So that there is no pretext that there is no complaint, I have just filed two complaints here at the Campeche State Prosecutor’s Office against three people: two officials of the current governor who were seen receiving millions of pesos in cash and a senator from the Republic”
The people denounced by the PAN senator appear in a recording broadcast as part of a report on the newscast En Punto. The video recorded the moment when Pozos Lanz, who at the time was a political operator for Layda Sansores, received at least four bundles of bills, presumably around 1 million pesos.

The senator from Acción Nacional explained that the residence in Houston of José Ramón López was a benefit between the relationship between Pemex and Baker Hughes
The event occurred in an office of the State Government Palace months before the Campeche elections, held in June 2021.

“The 4T government cannot continue to minimize the delivery of large amounts of cash. We have already seen the President’s brothers, Pio and Martín, receiving envelopes of money and nothing has happened. Where was President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s commitment to combat corruption?” Gálvez questioned when reporting what happened to the FGE.
“What are you afraid of?”: Xóchitl Gálvez complained to AMLO for preventing his access in the morning
The senator accused the president of challenging the amparo complaint that he presented in order to clarify his position on social programs in the morning conference
Two of those involved in the video assured that the money received was not misused. Armando Toledo, head of the Sansores Government Office, affirmed that the date of the recording was modified and that the resources were rural supports that were delivered to the beneficiaries.
He assured that the video was recorded when he was Secretary of Rural Development in the government of Alejandro Moreno (2015-2018) and that the resources were received in cash, because the banks were very far from rural communities, so the government He approached them directly to deliver the money.

While Raúl Pozos Lanz, current Secretary of Education in Campeche, assured that the accusations against him are part of a dirty war by the opposition against the government of the self-styled Fourth Transformation (4T).
Meanwhile, Senator Rocío Abreu has refused to make statements in this regard. However, he also for the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), Ricardo Monreal, came out in his defense.
“I have a lot of confidence in Senator Rocío Abreu. I have always seen act with great honesty and rectitude in four years. I’m not going to change my opinion,” Monreal said.
It should be noted that the video scandal in which two Campeche officials are involved is not the only reason why Sansores is involved in controversy. In the trial of Genaro García Luna, former Secretary of Public Security, a witness mentioned that she was aware of the meeting he allegedly had with Edgar Valdez Villarreal alias La Barbie.
