To meet Cécile Gandon is first to see her face lit up with a beaming smile. At 40, the author of Fragile body, living heart (1) has just received the jury’s favorite prize, in the “testimonial” section, at the Christian Book Fair in Dijon. With a poetic pen, Cécile recounts in short chapters her life with “a disability that is said to be ‘slight'” and which “gives her a limping gait”, in her own words. From her birth to her first playground games, from her student life to her current work as a graphic designer at the Christian Office for the Disabled, she takes us on her trail, without erasing the difficulties of the road, but with always this softness and this force which characterizes it.
