The Attorney General’s Office suspended and opened an investigation into the president of the SAE, Daniel Rojas Medellín

For the alleged breach of the contractual obligation to transfer the shares of the Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado or Aseo de Barranquilla (Triple A), the president of the Sociedad de Activos Especiales (SAE) will be investigated by the Attorney General’s Office and will be suspended from office for three months, according to the State entity.

The assets would have been acquired with money from multiple illegal activities such as drug trafficking and kidnapping

The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation opened a disciplinary investigation against José Daniel Rojas Medellín, president of the SAE; and also against the officials Sebastián Caballero Ortega, legal vice president of the SAE; Jairo Alonso Bautista, Vice President of Societies of the SAE, and Dagoberto Quiroga Collazos, Superintendent of Residential Public Services.

These irregularities were detected after the signing of the contract for the sale of 82.16% of the company’s shares in the capital of Atlántico.
