It was this February 8 that the TEPJF confirmed the resolution of the Specialized Regional Chamber, which concluded that Sheinbaum committed an infraction by attending and participating in the event to close the campaign of Américo Villarreal, who participated and was elected in the elections of the 2022 in Tamaulipas.
The Electoral Court issued its verdict after Sheinbaum requested the intervention of the Superior Chamber, because he considered that the Specialized Regional Chamber did not have the competence to make a determination regarding this complaint that the National Action Party (PAN) issued against him. .
“He alleged that the Specialized Regional Chamber did not analyze his allegations and improperly concluded that there had already been a ruling by the Superior Chamber regarding the conduct attributed to him.”
