“Gustavo Bolivar (sic.) I am at your service. Now they put it on me for having asked the dictator for silence. It turns out that she can ask Petro for silence and I can’t ask her for silence. I want to talk to you,” Navas Talero wrote in response to the virtual mayoral candidate.
Criticism grows against Germán Navas Talero for his controversial comments against women in politics
The case of the mayoress Claudia López and the representative to the Chamber Jennifer Pedraza, has generated rejection in political figures, who have also requested that an investigation be initiated against them.
Hugo Acero, who was Secretary of Security of the Bogotá Mayor’s Office, questioned the former representative’s message. “It was not just silence, what you asked for was, in a violent way, to silence her @ClaudiaLopez, as some criminals have done who fortunately have not been able to,” he said.
The politician has remained active on social networks to support Bolívar as mayor of Bogotá, although he has not announced his decision. In addition, he has replied to messages that support him for having proposed “taking a collection to buy a silencer and silence the mayoress.”
Navas Talero continues to justify the request to silence Claudia López
“It would be good to know how many of those who write are the same ones who criticize me for asking the mayor to shut up. Let him not offend the president anymore, ”wrote the former representative in another of his messages regarding what was described by the mayor as misogyny.
Navas Talero also published an opinion column on the Cuarto de Hora website to call Enrique Peñalosa cynical, and although it was dedicated to criticizing the former mayor and asking him to “leave the president alone”, he pointed out that the “worst president that has ever had the city” is Claudia López, the only woman who has held that position.
“There are double-faced people who today tell me one thing and write another. I am a Petrista or not a Claudist. My knees were made to allow my body to move forward, not to sink them to the ground before the powerful, ”wrote the representative in another of his trills.
