► The SNCF and RATP networks severely disrupted
A new day of galleys in transport is looming for users. According to SNCF forecasts, one in two TGVs should run on average. On the regional networks, only three out of ten TER will circulate.
In Paris, most metro lines will only operate during peak hours or at slower speeds. At Paris Orly airport, the general directorate of civil aviation (DGAC) has requested the cancellation of one in five flights to deal with the air traffic controllers’ strike. Disruptions are also expected on Wednesday, February 8.

► Approximately 4,500 MW of reductions in electricity production at EDF power plants
The EDF strikers have been cutting electricity production since Monday. This reached nearly 4,500 MW on Tuesday, the equivalent of more than four nuclear reactors, but without causing cuts, we learned from the CGT and the EDF website.
Several nuclear power plants, such as that of Paluel (Seine-Maritime) and Dampierre (Loiret), but also the coal-fired power plant of Cordemais (Loire-Atlantique) or the thermal power plant of Martigues (Bouches-du-Rhône) were affected, with “high rates of strikers” and “filtering at the entrance to the sites”, according to Fabrice Coudour, federal secretary of the FNME-CGT.
On the side of TotalEnergies, the CGT announced Tuesday morning between 75 and 100% of strikers in the group’s refineries. “Shipments of products from TotalEnergies sites are interrupted today”, indicated the management, i.e. methods of action similar to those of previous days of action against the pension reform project.

After a vote held on Monday afternoon, students took out tables, chairs and other university furniture and piled them up in front of the accesses leading to two of the faculty buildings. The vote was organized in the wake of a public meeting of the deputy La France insoumise (LFI) of Val-de-Marne Louis Boyard, guest on the campus.
