After the request made by the Chilean Minister of the Interior, Carolina Toha, to the international community for help in combating the forest fires that harm her country, the Mexican government confirmed its participation in the call. In this sense, the Secretary of Foreign Relations Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón announced the dispatch of personnel on the instructions of the President of the Republic.

Through his verified Twitter account, the Mexican foreign minister reported on the dispatch of 180 brigade members to the South American country.
