Beyoncé is the most awarded artist in Grammy Awards history. The singer was allowed to pick up four of the most important American music awards at the 65th ceremony on Sunday evening. This brings her total to 32 Grammys.
Beyoncé did not win any major categories this year. She did win the awards for best dance/electronic album for her album Renaissance, released last year. The song Break My Soul won the prize for best dance/electronic recording.
With the hit single Cuff It she won the Grammy for best R&B song and Plastic Off The Sofa won in the category best traditional R&B performance.
Beyoncé takes over the record for most Grammys from Hungarian conductor Georg Solti. She reacted emotionally to the milestone. “I’m just trying to let this night get over me,” she said to the loudly cheering audience.
Together with her husband JAY-Z, the singer could already call herself the artist with the most nominations. The two were nominated 88 times each. The rapper has won a total of 24 so far.

Harry Styles and Lizzo win big prizes
In one of the most important categories, album of the year, Beyoncé had to beat Harry Styles. The singer took this prize with his album Harry’s House, which was released in 2022. Adele, ABBA and Coldplay, among others, were also nominated in this category.
“Man, I’m so inspired by all the other artists in this category,” Styles responded. “I think that’s why it’s important to emphasize that in music there’s no such thing as ‘the best’. I don’t think anyone in the studio makes decisions with the idea of winning something like that.”
Lizzo won the Grammy for best recording with her song About Damn Time. The award for best song went to Bonnie Raitt’s Just Like That. Adele was awarded in the category of best pop solo performance with her song Easy On Me.
