La Guaira, 3 feb. The Indios de Mayagüez, from Puerto Rico, defeated the hosts Leones del Caracas 6-1 this Friday on the second day of the 2023 Caribbean Series, which will be played in Venezuela until February 10.
The Puerto Ricans dominated the entire match, in which they began to score points from the first inning with a single by Daniel Ortiz that served to boost the first two scores.
In the new opportunity at bat, the Indians added another run driven by a double by Roberto Enríquez.
For their part, the long-haired made a single return to the diamond in the fourth stage through a simple ball hit by Wilson Ramos towards the left field, with which he pushed Isaías Tejeda from second base to home plate.
Faced with this, the Mayagüez team did not stand still and added three runs in the fifth, thanks to a double by Vimael Machin and a succession of errors and tickets awarded by the Lions.
