EThis Saturday 63 Russian soldiers returned from Ukraine after the exchange, including some prisoners classified by Russia as “special category” and whose release was secured after mediation by the United Arab Emirates.
The Russian Ministry of Defense did not expand details about these captives to which Moscow gives greater importance.
In the exchange, the remains of two deceased foreign volunteers were returned to Ukraine
Russia released 116 Ukrainian soldiers and members of the security forces. Included in this group are “defenders” of Mariupol, Kherson and Bakhmut.
The group includes 87 soldiers from the armed forces, while the rest are members of the national police, customs agents and emergency services.
