There are already 13 people killed in the virulent fires that devastate central and southern Chile, 11 of them in the hard-hit town of Santa Juana, in the Biobío region. This region, together with Ñuble and La Araucanía, are the most affected. The fires, more than 170, have already destroyed more than 45,000 hectares and a hundred homes and have caused the eviction of dozens of municipalities.
