La Moro and Mario Teruel, a love around music
During this Thursday, the sad news of the death of Noemí Cristina Laspiur, popularly known as La Moro, was known. The wife of Mario Teruel, from Los Nocheros and mother of Álvaro, also a member of the group, Augusto, Jimena and Lautaro, sentenced in 2021 to twelve years in prison for sexual abuse, was 58 years old and had been urgently admitted at the end of January after suffering two aneurysms and in recent days had entered a pharmacological coma. Teleshow contacted the Teruel family, who confirmed her death occurred during the afternoon hours.
The unusual reason why the Justice of Salta granted house arrest to Lautaro Teruel
The son of a member of Los Nocheros, sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexual abuse, has a health problem. He will enjoy the benefit, monitored by an electronic anklet, until the end of the treatment
Due to the seriousness of her state of health, the group that made up her husband and son Álvaro, as well as her brother-in-law Kike Teruel and Rubén Ehizaguirre had to suspend their scheduled commitments for the remainder of the summer. With Los Nocheros, he became one of the great exponents of Salta folklore of the last thirty years and put his stamp on some of the group’s most significant lyrics, such as “Me enamoré de una zamba”, “Viento del algarrobal” and ” The yapa”.
Outside the group, he exposed all his talent and personality in the album No clásico and his songs were performed by artists such as Paloma San Basilio, Facundo Toro, El Chaqueño Palavecino and Vale 4. His early departure caused great pain in the artistic community, especially in that of folklore and fundamentally in the province of Salta, where he formed among clubs and guitarists and came to cross borders thanks to his songs.

According to La Moro, whom no one called Noemí, much less Cristina, her love for music came by letter. Or at least that’s what her husband told her, that in those romantic letters, written in her own handwriting and deposited in mailboxes in times of tours, there was a hint of poetry.
At that time, she only thought about music, which was the support with which she was encouraged to put melodies to those words that sprouted from the depths of her heart. “I think that a letter cannot lack the melody, even when poetry has a life of its own, for me they always go hand in hand, I put poetry together with a melody,” he acknowledged in an interview with the Salta site El influencer, where revealed his influences by listening to folklore references such as Jaime Dávalos and Daniel Toro, with whom he had the pleasure of working with six hands on “Sueño de Amor”
“It was fascinating, being able to be next to Maestro Daniel, a person I admire in everything,” she summed up and said that everything was born from Toro himself who proposed to her husband to do something together. They called each other on the phone, Daniel hummed the music and Mario completed it. Only then did he put lyrics to it and they sang it to him, again by phone, waiting for her return. At that moment I felt that I was taking my big exam, once he gave his consent for me it was something dreamed of and unforgettable, ”she admitted.
