Bird flu is no longer a disease that blows over from Asia once in a while. The disease is persistent in poultry in Europe. The disease is also spreading to mammals in more and more places, such as seals. How worrisome is that trend?

Serious side effects of medicines are reduced by 30 percent if the dosage is adjusted to the DNA of patients. This has emerged from an international study led by the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC).
