Man who filmed how knowledge drowned is being prosecuted

A 54-year-old man who filmed last year how an acquaintance of his drowned in a swimming pool in Rosmalen is being prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service. He is suspected by the Public Prosecution Service of having abandoned his equally old fellow townsman.

The two men were under the influence of alcohol on a Friday afternoon in July when they were at Het IJzeren Kind swimming pool. At one point, the victim walked into the water and did not resurface.

It is a criminal offense that the man did not help his fellow townsman. The Public Prosecution Service has found evidence in the form of videos of the incident and messages on his telephone. The 54-year-old man did come to the aid of the victim, the judiciary reported earlier, but too late.
