Alejandro Riaño talked about his relationship with Ricardo Quevedo: “he is the best comedian in the country”

Alejandro Riaño is one of the best-known comedians in the country and one of the most popular in recent years. After starting his career in RCN’s Los comediantes de la noche, Riaño created his most iconic and well-known character: Juanpis González. In one of these broadcasts, on January 29, his followers asked him about his relationship with fellow comedian Ricardo Quevedo, with whom he shared the stage in Comediantes. In the video, she clarified that she has never had problems with Quevedo, but that she moved away from him at one point in her life.

“My friendship with Quevedo was very good at first, with everything about Tigo in Comedians, then it’s not that I really had a problem with him, but (that) he had a problem with another comedian, so I’m a good friend of all comedians, of the vast majority really and with none I have problems “

Immediately, the comedian behind Juanpis González, warned that if he moved away from Quevedo it was because of a fight between him and another comedian -whom he did not reveal his name-, in which Riaño, according to what he said, took sides with the anonymous. As can be seen from Riaño’s words, the fight would have been for egos.

“Because if I did something it was, in the end, end up saying: look, I am not going to go into issues here about who is better, that if one is better than the other, that this, or that we get the one from there, that this man It’s getting on us, what batteries!… I think that comedy has an end and is to really amuse people, and you have to be very honest when it comes to “we’re going to make people laugh”. It does not have to be a matter of egos, of who is better, because in the end, the ones who choose are you (the public), and you have to understand that “

Regarding this “fight” to see who is the best comedian, Riaño said that criticism of his work no longer keeps him up all night as they did when he started:

“As well as to many I will seem like a great comedian, to others I seem the worst, and they say this man does not even make the mother laugh, this man is very bad, this man… I hope they burn him. I already went there and I understood that a long time ago. I think that at the age of 22, when I came out for the first time in Comedians, those comments affected me and it hit me hard.

He then mentioned Quevedo again not only to reiterate that he has not had conflicts with him, but that, in his opinion, he is “the best comedian this country has.”

“But I did have like that distance, really, with him because of the other person. So, they’ve already settled (Quevedo and the other comedian), they’re already good friends. So, well, all good. Then no. I’ve never had a conflict with him, really. I walked away. So, that was like the only thing that happened.”
