Sc Heerenveen has strengthened itself on Tuesday with the Norwegian striker Daniel Karlsbakk. FC Groningen hires the Finnish international Oliver Antman from the Danish FC Nordsjaelland and Excelsior takes over Arthur Zagre from AS Monaco on a rental basis.
Nineteen-year-old Karlsbakk comes over from the Norwegian Viking FK. The fifteen-time youth international signed a contract with Heerenveen until mid-2026. He scored two goals in 21 league matches last season.
Karlsbakk has been recruited as successor to Amin Sarr. The attacker will play with number 9 at Heerenveen, just like the Swede. The Frisians sold Sarr to Olympique Lyonnais on Monday for at least 11 million euros.
“He is a player with a lot of potential, a young boy who fits into modern football,” says technical manager Ferry de Haan on the Heerenveen website. “Daniel has high intensity, good physical conditions and speed.”
Karlsbakk is the fourth winter acquisition for Heerenveen after Pelle van Amersfoort, Ché Nunnely and Jeffrey Bruma.

FC Groningen rents Finnish international
FC Groningen rents Antman from FC Nordsjaelland for the rest of this season. The contract of the 21-year-old attacker also includes an option to buy. The three-time Finnish international played a total of eighty games for Nordsjaelland, in which he scored thirteen times.
“Oliver has been at the top of our wish list when it comes to offensive reinforcements since October last year,” says FC Groningen technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus. “He is a versatile attacker with speed and depth in his game.”
Previously, the gatekeeper in the Eredivisie recorded Matej Chalus, Johan Hove, Aimar Sher and Mads Bech Sørensen.

Excelsior hires Zagre from AS Monaco
Excelsior also attracted another player on Deadline Day. The team from Rotterdam rent Zagre from AS Monaco until the end of this season.
The 21-year-old wing defender spent the past year and a half on a rental basis for FC Utrecht. He played thirteen games for the main force of the Domstedelingen and came into action ten times for Jong Utrecht.
Excelsior strengthened itself earlier during this transfer period with Peer Koopmeiners, Noah Naujoks and Kik Pierie.
