The Spanish National Police seize four and a half tons of cocaine near the Canary Islands, with an estimated street value of 105 million euros. The drugs traveled on a ship that transported cattle from Colombia to the Middle East. The operation took place on Tuesday, according to a statement released this Saturday.
The vessel carrying the drugs had docked at ports in a dozen countries before the raid. The 28 crew members of it, of nine nationalities, were arrested.
This is the third ship with drugs seized in recent weeks in Canary waters.
