OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 35 points, his fourth straight game with at least 30, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-100 on Friday.
Gilgeous-Alexander made 12 of 21 shots and added eight assists and five rebounds. Jalen Williams added 17 points and hit all three of his 3-pointers.
Darius Garland finished with 31 points and 13 assists for Cleveland, which was without star Donovan Mitchell because of a groin injury.
The Thunder won for the sixth time in eight games in their Western Conference play-in dispute, while the Cavaliers finished a three-game road trip with a 30-21 record.
The Thunder quickly took the lead before Cleveland came out on top with their front line of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen to slow down Oklahoma City’s attack.
Cleveland led 54-47 at halftime despite going just 3-for-16 from long range.
Oklahoma City erased the deficit to enter the fourth quarter tied at 78. It outscored Cleveland 34-22 in the final 12 minutes to come away with the victory.
