The moment of the attack on Paul Pelosi in the United States
The judicial authorities of the United States released two videos of the attack on Paul Pelosi, the husband of the high leader of the Democratic party, Nancy Pelosi.
In the first sequence you can see the arrival at David DePape’s residence with a large backpack and another package. He immediately begins pounding on what appears to be a rear window of the home, before gaining entry onto the property.
In the second video, the attacker can be seen being confronted by two officers before hitting the man with a hammer. Immediately after the attack, the two officers entered the house and tried to subdue the assailant.

DePape pleaded not guilty in late December to the charges against him, including attempted murder, assault and attempted kidnapping.
The 42-year-old man appeared before a San Francisco Superior Court judge and pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, local media reported.
Christine Pelosi, one of the daughters of Paul and Nancy Pelosi, attended the court hearing, which was very brief, reported CNN.
DePape’s next appearance in San Francisco Superior Court is scheduled for February 23, and a judge is expected to set a trial date then.

DePape had already pleaded not guilty in another appearance before a judge in early November, but in California there are two court hearings to determine whether or not a person admits to being responsible for a crime.
Paul Pelosi, 82, was attacked in San Francisco on October 28 when he was at the family home.
The assailant broke into the house shouting “Where is Nancy?”, although the Democratic congresswoman was in the capital, Washington, at the time.
The House Speaker’s husband was seriously injured by the impact of a hammer and had to be taken to hospital, where he underwent an operation for a fractured skull and treated various serious injuries to his right arm and wrists. hands.
A week after the attack, Paul Pelosi was released from the hospital and has been recovering at home ever since.
DePape, of Canadian origin and who was in the United States irregularly, forced his entry into the Pelosi residence through the back door and, once inside, went to the bedroom, where Paul was sleeping.
The assailant was arrested at the house after the victim herself called the police.
At the scene of the crime, the Police found a roll of tape, a white rope, a second hammer -in addition to the one used in the attack-, a pair of rubber and cloth gloves and cable ties.
