Alberto Fernandez along with Eduardo “Wado” of Pedro and Juan Manzur
The summer of tranquility in the Government is over. Since the beginning of the year, except for some statements by Andrés “Cuervo” Larroque that targeted Alberto Fernández-like so many others that he has launched in 2022-the official internal party has cooled down. But the intense heat of January returned to the Frente de Todos the combative dynamic that ate away at the confidence of the political space during the past year.
“We must not condemn the 2019 electoral strategy or unity as a concept because one person or several have not lived up to the circumstances,” Larroque said 10 days ago. It was a stone thrown from La Plata that was not returned at the Casa Rosada. But this Thursday the situation was different and the tension escalated again.
Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro let it be known that he was hurt and upset at having been excluded from a meeting between Alberto Fernández and Lula da Silva with Human Rights organizations. His personal life is related to those sectors of society because he is the son of disappeared persons and has always been a member of the CHILDREN group.
The decision to filter his discomfort revealed his irreconcilable differences with the President, with whom he does not speak and who in La Cámpora, a group of which De Pedro is part of the small leadership table, accuses him of having led the ruin of the national government for not having followed Cristina Kirchner’s advice throughout her administration.

Regarding the specific event, from the environment of the Head of State they explained that the meeting was organized by Human Rights organizations. Fernández was not going to go to that meeting, he had only proposed the Casa Rosada as a meeting place but, at the end of lunch on Monday, the president of Brazil asked him to accompany him.
As indicated in Balcarce 50, it was the most prominent figures of the organizations that made the guest list. They assure that Fernández did not organize the meeting and that he did not invite anyone in particular. So much so that the justification they put forward is that there were no other ministers on that fragment of the bilateral agenda.
In parallel, close to the President they maintain that the distance between Fernández and De Pedro caused the Minister of the Interior to have less power. The reason? They understand that “Wado” was left without parliamentary relations, in charge of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Juan Manuel Olmos, and without the link with the governors, who are in the power of the Head of State.
In the Interior they maintain that De Pedro continues to have contact with all the governors and that he is doing his job. The Kirchner official reports to Cristina Kirchner and has no intention of ingratiating himself with Alberto Fernández. That is why he exposed his discomfort and reopened the internal crisis of the national government.

The internal tension exposed once again the political confrontation that exists between Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner. The relationship is broken and worn, despite the fact that they communicate at specific moments of the management. The silence no longer represents the tension of the bond because neither of them privately denies that the political relationship is completely broken.
In this electoral time, the great displeasure of Kirchnerism with Fernández is that they see the President’s vocation for re-election exposed. They cannot understand how you can think of running for a new term. The Head of State remains firm with his vocation to play in this year’s elections and with this decision widens the differences in a political alliance that has an uncertain future.
