I wanted to stay in Lima for my family and I decided to go to the University”.

The 33-year-old footballer also referred to the welcome given to him by the Universitario fans on his return to the club. “I really liked the reception I received at ‘Cream Night’. I know that because of my past at Cristal there will be people who disagree, but by doing things right on the pitch that can be reversed.”

On the third day of the Peruvian championship Sporting Cristal and Alianza Lima will face each other at the National Stadium, while Universitario will be local against Cantolao.

To play the date that touches, that does not depend on us nor have they communicated anything to us ”.

Finally, he assured that the Paraguayan Williams Riveros, a new addition to the student team, will be key throughout the championship. “Williams Riveros is fine, I know him from having faced each other before, he is a player who has achieved important things and he will surely come to contribute”.

The start of League 1 was postponed again due to the social demonstrations that have been taking place in various parts of the country. After the meeting of the National Commission against Violence, it was concluded that starting the local tournament in these circumstances would put the fans at risk.

“The Professional Soccer League (LFP) informs public opinion and fans that due to the social situation in the country and taking into account the disposition of the competent authorities, date 2 of Liga1 Betsson 2023 will be rescheduled and communicated at the time”, can be read in the pronouncement.

Both date 1 and date 2 of the Apertura Tournament were suspended, however, the Peruvian championship is planned to start as soon as possible. So far, it is unknown when we could enjoy football again and even, most likely, the schedule will be reconsidered due to the situation in which our country finds itself.

“The LFP understands the social situation that the country is going through, trusting that peace and unity will be restored to start the Peruvian championship with all the necessary conditions that allow the show to take place in a safe environment,” the document notes. .
