Ralf Seuntjens shared good news about his health on Thursday. The former Eredivisie player, who was diagnosed with a tumor in his shoulder in May last year, says it now looks good.
“Last week a new scan was made and the miracle was there, because the activity of the lymph node cancer was gone!”, 33-year-old Seuntjens writes on Instagram on Thursday.
“Unreal, relieved and incredibly grateful. I can and can look to the future again. I want to thank everyone for the enormous support.”
Seuntjens also writes that he already had every confidence in a good result during a scan in November, but that there was still activity in the lymph nodes.
The tumor was discovered when Seuntjens had just switched from NAC Breda to the Japanese FC Imabari for his first foreign adventure. He has been treated intensively in recent months.
Before his NAC period in his hometown of Breda, Seuntjens played for RBC Roosendaal, FC Den Bosch, Telstar, VVV-Venlo and De Graafschap. His contract in Japan expires at the end of 2023.
