A pledge not to disturb public order

The law confirming respect for republican principles promulgated in August 2021, known as the separatism law, establishes the republican contract of engagement (CER). On the official grant application form, the associations undertake to respect the terms.

The contract stipulates in particular that “respect for the laws of the Republic is binding on associations and foundations, who must not undertake or incite any action manifestly contrary to the law, violent or likely to cause serious disturbances to public order”.

The association “undertakes to act in a spirit of brotherhood and civic (…), not to provoke hatred or violence towards anyone and not to condone such acts”.
