In the north of Germany, two people were killed and five people injured in a stabbing on a train, says the interior minister of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The perpetrator has been arrested.
The train ran from Kiel to Hamburg, but did not go further than the village of Brokstedt. That’s where the police intervened. According to the police, the perpetrator first stabbed himself and then stabbed others, Bild writes. That happened around 3 p.m.
It is not yet clear what the condition of the injured is. According to Bild, one of them is in mortal danger.
Images show that many emergency services are present at the station in Brokstedt, which has since been cordoned off. The motive of the perpetrator is not yet known.
