Spain | Murdered with a machete a sacristan in Algeciras

Ehe attacker has been arrested in the vicinity of the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Palma, in the heart of the city, in the Plaza Alta. He is a man of Moroccan origin, armed with a machete and dressed in a djellaba.

The deceased was a sacristan of the church of Nuestra Señora de la Palma, the largest temple in this southern Spanish city, where the event occurred on Wednesday afternoon local time.

Although the 112 Andalusia Emergency service has received numerous notices from individuals about the event, the toilets have been unable to do anything to save the life of the victim and it has been the Local Police that has confirmed the death.

The National Court Prosecutor’s Office investigates it as an allegedly jihadist attack.

Previously, the same individual would have injured a priest in a temple in the San Isidro neighborhood.
