Of the 31 members, 16 are representatives of the ruling party, so it is expected that the majority will be achieved to take the first step. He does not have the votes to sustain the impeachment of the high court judges in the Chamber of Deputies. However, the objective of the Frente de Todos is to expose the situation to public opinion.
“January 26 will be the first work meeting, on February 2 the authors of the project will be received and on the 9th the admissibility report will come out on whether the complaints are substantiated, and there progress is made to begin the investigation and the opening of summary”, the president of the commission, Carolina Gaillard, had anticipated in radio statements.

In other words, the key meeting of the commission will be on February 9, when the credibility of the complaints made will be analyzed and the admissibility of the impeachment requests will be evaluated. If, from the previous study of the file, certain indications or semi-full proof of serious causes that make the impeachment proceeding arise, the opening of the summary will be ruled.
On the other hand, and consulted about the position of Together for Change of not discussing other bills until the request for impeachment is withdrawn from the Court, Valdés assured: “The opposition wants to blackmail us one thing for the other. We are going to sit on the benches and try to sanction the laws that the Executive has proposed to us in extraordinary.
