Volvo is recalling 106,000 model year 2023 cars worldwide to perform a software update. It must solve a problem with the braking system, the car manufacturer reports. In Belgium, there are 1,753 cars.

According to Volvo, the problem does not affect the brake pedal itself, but it does affect the automatic braking system when using cruise control. Drivers receive a warning on the dashboard, says communication director René Aerts of Volvo Car Belux.
The cars have to go back to the garage for the update. Customers will be invited to do so, it says. These are different models.
