The KNVB has found a new date for the Eredivisie match between RKC Waalwijk and Go Ahead Eagles, which was canceled on Saturday due to snowfall. The two teams meet on Wednesday, February 1.
The kick-off of RKC Waalwijk-Go Ahead Eagles was initially scheduled for Saturday at 9 p.m., but a thick layer of snow from the night before threw a spanner in the works. The field in the Mandemakers Stadium was rejected and the match was cancelled.
On Friday, due to the snowfall, some duels in professional football were also canceled. The Willem II-FC Eindhoven and MVV-Heracles Almelo matches in the Kitchen Champion Division were cancelled. In the Women’s Eredivisie, the field was rejected in three matches.
RKC and Go Ahead will take the second chance on Wednesday 1 February. The kick-off in the Mandemakers Stadium is at 8 p.m. No new dates have yet been found for the other canceled matches.
This week RKC and Go Ahead will come into action during a midweek round in the Eredivisie. The Waalwijkers will visit revelation Sparta on Tuesday at 9 p.m. Go Ahead will receive AZ on Wednesday at 6.45 pm.
