After the disappearance of María Ángela Olguín Bustamante while she was waiting for her mother outside the public toilets of the Indios Verdes station on Line 3, the head of the Government of Mexico City (CDMX), Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, reported that security at the bus stops of the Metro Collective Transport System (STC).

After her statement, the head of the local Executive avoided specifying details about the number of elements that will be deployed or what the greater security that she would implement in the stations of the Transportation System would consist of.

Regarding the case of María Ángela Olguín, a 16-year-old girl who was found alive two days after her disappearance in the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, the capital’s president pointed out that the minor was transferred to the facilities of the Attorney General’s Office of Justice (FGJ) of Mexico City.
Sheinbaum Pardo explained that the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Investigative Police, have been working since the disappearance of the minor, originally from Ecatepec de Morelos, was filed. After inquiries, the woman was located in a municipality of Edomex.

According to official figures, in 2022, 497 cases of kidnapping were reported, of which 99 were for sexual purposes and 13 for trafficking of minors.
Subsequently, the official added, the CDMX authorities sent the minor to the facilities of the Prosecutor’s Office to be able to follow up on the case. The young woman was reunited with her family shortly after being located.
“When they found her, they took her to the Prosecutor’s Office facilities to support her in everything related to an investigation into a disappearance, and fortunately she is with her family. Now the details, because in agreement with the family they can be discussed by the prosecution, the good thing is that a good job was done and Ángela was found, ”she commented.

Two days after her disappearance, on January 21, the Prosecutor’s Office reported that María Ángela was found alive between Carmelo Pérez avenue and 12th avenue, in the Las Águilas neighborhood, in the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl.
