The driver of the UNP drug truck is transferred from prison for the third time
The National Protection Unit (UNP) remains under the scrutiny of the authorities after an alleged drug trafficking network was uncovered by finding a van attached to the entity with a shipment of 150 kilos of cocaine. The driver of the vehicle, Manuel Antonio Castañeda, was caught with the illicit drug and on Monday, January 23, he was transferred to the Military Detention Center in Facatativá (Cundinamarca), due to alleged threats against him.

Caracol Radio learned that the inmate told members of the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute (Inpec) that he felt at risk, but did not give them names. The authorities listened to his call and authorized the transfer.
This is the third time that Castañeda has requested a change in prison, since he was previously in La Picota and then in Cómbita.
