The American police surrounded a white van for some time in the search for the man who killed ten people near Los Angeles on Saturday night. The encirclement is now over, police said. It is not clear if anything was found.

The search around the van was in the town of Torrance. Footage from local media showed that someone was hanging over the wheel of the vehicle. Whether it concerns the perpetrator of the shooting is not known, the police have not yet said anything about it.
