This is because the first episode premiered on HBO and the HBO Max platform on January 15, and it was as surprising as expected. The series by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann is one of the most longed-for projects of this 2023. It stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones).

However, the main characters are not the only ones that generate interest in the television project. And the reason is because the rest of the cast is made up of excellent performers, including some who were part of the PlayStation video game that inspired the series.

There is an actress who played a character in the video game and now has that same role in the series. This is Merle Dandridge, who put the physique and voice of Marlene, the leader of the Fireflies. On the other hand, there are Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker. They are known for playing Ellie and Joel in both parts of The Last of Us and, although for the HBO show their roles were replaced by Ramsey and Pascal, the project also incorporated them into the skin of other characters.

On Rotten Tomatoes, it has been given 99% approval, calling it “a memorable start.” The premiere episode introduced audiences to Joel and Ellie’s life experiences. There he saw part of his origins and objectives, as well as his plan to survive with the purpose of completing a mission. The rest of the season promises to exceed expectations.
