Large fire in business premises Almelo

A large building in Almelo was completely destroyed by fire last night. A gym, a PostNL parcel depot and a thrift store in the building have burned out. No one was present when the fire broke out and a cause is not yet known, reports the fire brigade, who received a report around 9 p.m.

By that time the fire had already developed to such an extent that it was no longer responsible to extinguish it indoors.

There was a lot of smoke that rose high. Local residents were sent an NL-Alert warning them to stay out of the smoke and to close windows and doors.
