In a request for information, journalist Omar Sánchez de Tagle, from Animal Político, asked the PGR for the results of the histopathological studies carried out on the kidney, liver, lung, brain, cerebellum, marrow, myocardium, spleen and pancreas of the corpse analyzed. in July 1997 and DNA identity results.
The Special Deputy Prosecutor for Organized Crime Investigations (SEIDO) replied that there was no expert or DNA evidence to publicly know the cause and assured that 7 different areas of the PGR affirm that there are no documents on prior investigations, circumstantial records or open investigations that involved the leader of the Juárez Cartel.
