A thief in Brussels took pity on a trader when he saw the meager contents of his cash box that he wanted to rob last week, so he decided to leave empty-handed.
“Keep your money,” said the man, whose face was camouflaged by a motorcycle helmet, according to what trader Mikaël Thil reported to TF1.
Weapon in hand, the latter had just burst into the Cellier de Vinalgros, in Brussels, to claim the entire cash register.
But the robber would have been surprised at the meager 110 euros – about 160 Canadian dollars – contained in the cash register.
“That’s when we explained to him that unfortunately, the current economic situation and crises meant that we had no more to give him,” continued the wine merchant.
Even if he has changed his mind, the individual is still wanted by the police.
“He left us our money, of course. But we were still held up with a weapon. And we know that sometimes this kind of offense can degenerate. So yes, even if he did a ‘good deed’, he still needs to be found, ”added the trader.
