British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been fined for not wearing a seatbelt. Sunak calls his action an error of judgment and has apologized.
The video shows the prime minister in the back seat of a moving car recording a video for his ‘levelling-up’ campaign. It is about creating more jobs in the UK. The police did not say how much Sunak has to pay. Usually the fine for not wearing a seatbelt is around £100.
Second punishment
It is the second time for Sunak that he has been fined by the British police. In May last year, when he was still finance minister, Sunak was fined for attending parties and drinks at 10 Downing Street. Those parties and drinks were in violation of the corona measures.
