Marieke Elsinga and Bart Arens are among the radio DJs nominated for the Golden Radio Ring for best presenter. Three men and three women have been nominated in the category, which will be awarded gender-neutral for the first time this year.
In addition to Elsinga (Qmusic) and Arens (NPO Radio 2), Emmely de Wilt (NPO Radio 2), Iris Enthoven (Radio 538), Rob van Someren (Radio 10) and Tim Op Het Broek (Kink) have also been nominated.
The organization recently announced that it would no longer separate the awards for presenters and presenters. Elsinga, among others, criticized this decision. She is afraid that women will have less chance of winning the prize in this way, because more men are working in the radio world. This year, the number of nominations for men and women are therefore equal.
Arens and Van Someren are also nominated in the category best program, with their shows Aan De Slag and Somertijd. Spijkers Met Koppen (NPO Radio 2), Adres Unknown (NPO Radio 5) and Kinkstart (KINK) also have a chance in this category.
The podcasts Vrouwmibo, De Cor Potcast, F1 Aan Tafel, FCA Daily: Alles Over Voetbal and Brokko Met Korthom & Lotte have been nominated for the award for best podcast.
You can vote in the three categories until January 26. The winners will be announced that evening.
