As of January 13, 1,140 requests for recognition and compensation have been submitted to the Inirr, which has so far ruled on approximately 160 situations. The CRR reports 604 referrals for the year 2022.
In both bodies, the average amount of financial reparations recommended is between €37,000 and €38,000. Compensation is paid to the victims by religious congregations in the case of the CRR and by the Selam fund set up by the bishops of France in the case of the Inirr.
Victims requesting the Inirr and the CRR are assigned referents who accompany them throughout the repair process. They are 15 in number in the first instance and 25 in the second.
