The King and Queen of Spain inaugurate the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in Madrid.
This year, Guatemala is the country invited to the international event, with the motto “Amazing and unstoppable”. Its objective is to exceed the record growth of 72% of tourists that it obtained in 2022.
Felipe VI and Letizia were able to greet the Guatemalan President, Alejandro Giammattei, whom they later received at La Zarzuela, the headquarters of the Spanish Head of State. At the stand of the Central American country, they have been able to enjoy the traditional dance of the Deer.
The presence of Ukraine also stands out at the fair, which is seeking support to recover the tourism sector despite being immersed in the middle of the war.
The organizers of Fitur s anticipate around 200,000 visitors in the five days that the event lasts.
