The academic positioned herself publicly after the announcement of the UNAM (FES Aragón)
The adviser for Minister Yasmin Esquivel’s degree work, Martha Rodríguez Ortiz, assured that she will challenge her dismissal announced by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), despite the fact that it was recognized that there was plagiarism in the research work of the member of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN).
Yasmín Esquivel’s advisor confessed to having shared the minister’s thesis
The confession was extracted from the statement that the academic presented to the director of the Faculty of Higher Studies (FES) Aragon
During an interview, the former academic of the Faculty of Higher Studies (FES) Aragón assured that she will defend herself against the decision made by the highest house of studies, for which she will seek to obtain protection to continue on the teaching staff.
“I am going to defend myself because I am a class teacher”
Rodríguez Ortiz pointed out that she has been teaching in university classrooms for 43 years and has directed at least 500 theses, for which she indicated that she is a “class” professor who does not deserve the accusations she is receiving against her.

In addition to the above, the academic defended her career as a teacher, as she recalled that last year she received recognition from the rector Enrique Graue, who recognized her career at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Yasmín Esquivel will not leave her position despite the UNAM plagiarism resolution: “Nothing to be ashamed of”
After the National Autonomous University of Mexico verified that the minister’s thesis is a “copy” of another one made a year before her degree, the Secretary of the Interior indicated that the SEP cannot eliminate the title
It is because of the above that it was incomprehensible to him that, after 35 years, they are attacking his work when in those times, the eighties, plagiarism was not as marked as it is today, in addition to the fact that there were no technological tools to detect bad practices.
“I don’t understand, until now, after 35 years, why they are attacking us so much when they were other times,” he told Radio Formula.
