Thousands of protesters keep the pressure on the new president of Peru, Dina Boluarte. The country’s capital was once again the scene of protests on Tuesday, and citizens from various regions of the territory have yet to arrive in Lima to demand the resignation of the president.
In the marches there were insults and objects thrown at journalists and also altercations with the security forces, who used tear gas.
The Police have indicated that there have been cuts in 81 points that have affected 19 national highways. Boluarte has announced that they will be unlocked by law enforcement. In addition, he offers to talk about the social claims of the protesters, but not about the policies, which he considers “unfeasible from the Executive”.
The authorities have canceled all sports events between January 17 and 23, including the soccer league that began this week, due to the situation in the country. So far the protests have resulted in fifty deaths
