One of the novels of the transfer market in Colombian soccer was Aldair Quintana, the 28-year-old goalkeeper from Tolima will play on loan with Deportivo Pereira, current league champion and who will play the group stage of Conmebol Libertadores 2023, a good showcase for the former Atlético Nacional.

The departure of Aldair Quintana from Atlético Nacional was a complete odyssey, since the Antioquia team put obstacles in the way of negotiating with the Matecaña squad, which will debut in the BetPlay Dimayor League against Millonarios at the Hernán Ramírez Villegas on Sunday, January 29, due to the fact that the game for the first date against Deportivo Cali was postponed.

“My intention was to look for the opportunity to have a new air, to reach another club and Pereira was one of the ones that opened the doors for me. I am very happy to be here with the tournaments that are coming (…) it was important for me and my career” to leave Nacional to “take a new breath.”
Likewise, he highlighted his time at Nacional despite the difficulties: “The time at Nacional was fundamental for my career. I lived very good moments, others of a lot of learning and for my position it is important to live all that. Today I feel stronger, strengthened in many aspects”.

Through his social networks, the Perla del Otún team, Quintana said the following: “I am very happy to be able to reach the Colombian champion, we hope that both you, the fans, and us, the players, continue to achieve very important things.”
After doing the inferior process with River Plate of Argentina between 2011 and 2013, Aldair Quintana returned to Colombia in 2014 to join Independiente Medellín with whom he did not play any match. Not having a place at Poderoso de la Montaña, the ibaguereño was loaned to Atlético FC of the second division with which he made his professional debut in 2015.
In 2016 he played on loan at Orsomarso, with whom he saved 10 games, a year later he was loaned to Deportes Tolima in which he had no minutes. In 2018 he was signed by Atlético Huila with which he performed well before being transferred to Atlético Nacional.
