Biden receives Rutte and Hoekstra
Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister Wopke Hoekstra of Foreign Affairs are visiting the White House in Washington today. There they talk with President Joe Biden and Hoekstra’s counterpart Antony Blinken about, among other things, the war in Ukraine, on which the Netherlands and the US are broadly in agreement. But topics that are more sensitive are also discussed, such as chip machine manufacturer ASML. The US wants the Dutch company to stop deliveries to China.
ASML pawn in US-China chip war

China needs the Dutch ASML to produce advanced chips, but the Americans want the Netherlands to stop supplying chip machines to China, which is a major trading partner of ASML. What can ASML do without China and how will the Americans approach the Netherlands?
Chilling testimonies from the trenches

At the shooting range, we talk to two soldiers, including the only woman in the battalion, about their experiences, their fears, the deaths… Horrifying testimonies from the trenches in a war zone.
