Raúl Ruidíaz shone with great goals in Seattle Sounders practices and aims for the Club World Cup

Raúl Ruidíaz is one of the most successful Peruvian players abroad. And it is that with the exception of his passing through Coritiba in Brazil, in all the clubs where he passed he left his scoring stamp. In this case, he will face the sixth season with the Seattle Sounders of the MLS, where he is one of the most outstanding elements of it. Precisely, with the American team he will face the Club World Cup and, in the middle of the preseason, the striker shone with three great goals in training.

It was through his social networks that the footballer himself shared two videos where he is involved in his team’s practices and manages to score three goals at Starfire Sports (operations center of the ‘Rave Green’ team). The first is a story in which the attacker can be seen in a small football match. His first action is to stay unmarked on the edge of the rival area while the play unfolds in the right sector. In that, after a change of orientation to the left side, a teammate of his pivots the ball and gives a pass to another until he arrives in possession of the ‘Flea’. He manages to receive the ball and carries out an oriented control with his right foot, until he took a shot that hit the crossbar and then slipped into the back of the net.

The second goal came from the field of Raúl’s team. A good attack was generated through the center that later passed to the left flank. Immediately and with the intention of getting unmarked, the Peruvian made an exceptional movement and, after settling the ball, launched a powerful cross shot that the goalkeeper could not contain.

Finally, the third target occurred on another day of training, on the field of Lumen Field. Ruidíaz waited in midfield while the ball was in the possession of the opposing team. Suddenly, one gave a very compromised pass, something that was taken advantage of by the small gunner, who from that far distance did not hesitate to hit the goal, managing to score a great goal, since the goalkeeper was ahead.

In this way, the national attacker has been refining his aim for what will be the Club World Cup with the Seattle Sounders. Along these lines, one of the possible rivals that could touch him is André Carrillo’s Al-Hilal, of whom he had words. “I am very excited for this tournament. For me to face Carrillo would be super cool, but with whomever I get I will try to do my best, ”he commented at a press conference a few days ago.

In the same way, he expressed his feelings for facing a competition of this magnitude. “We are very excited about this great tournament. It is the most important in Sounders history. We are preparing ourselves in the best way both physically and mentally to do things well”, he specified.

Finally, he made it clear how his physical situation is at this start of the preseason with the North American team. “Physically I feel super good. What’s more, the physical trainers are surprised by how I have arrived at this start of the season. During the holidays I have prepared myself very well for this great year, which is going to be a totally different one, ”he said.

The truth is that Ruidíaz’s first match in this contest will only take place on Saturday, February 4, as part of the second round. His rival will be known as the winner between Al Ahly of Egypt and Auckland City of New Zealand. The winner of the Seattle Sounders match will face Real Madrid of Spain in the semifinal (Wednesday, February 8).
