Chicago (USA), 15 Jan. The South Korean Si Woo Kim won the Sony Open in Honolulu (Hawaii) this Sunday, finishing with a total of 18 under par and a stroke ahead of Hayden Buckley.
Two ‘birdies’ on the last two holes allowed Kim, who finished the fourth round with a brilliant 6 under par, to wrest victory from Buckley.
The American signed par twice in the last two holes and saw his title options fade.
Chris Kirk finished third with a cumulative fifteen under par, three shots behind Kim, who celebrated his fourth title on the PGA Tour.
The Colombian Nicolás Echavarría was the best Hispanic when he placed twelfth, with an accumulated score of twelve under par.
Echavarría signed a five under par in a last round without errors and was the second best this Sunday, after Kim.
