The theme of the Children’s Book Week, which will be held in October this year, is ‘At my home’. Organizer CPNB has announced this. The Children’s Book Week Gift is written by Sanne Rooseboom, author of the series The Ministry of Solutions, among others.

“Books stimulate the conversation to tell about home and are an inexhaustible source of different points of view,” said CPNB in ​​an explanation of the theme.

The Children’s Book Week gift is free for anyone who purchases 13.50 euros worth of children’s books in the bookstore. Last year it was still 12.50 euros.

Matching song

In addition to the Children’s Book Week gift, a number of special editions will be published. Author and illustrator Yvonne Jagtenberg is making a picture book and Pim Lammers is writing a poem for the Children’s Book Week. Children for Children is making a matching song for the twelfth time this year. That is written by Iven Cudogham.

With the Children’s Book Week, the Collective Propaganda of the Dutch Book Foundation (CPNB) wants to encourage children to read more books. This year the week is from 4 to 15 October.
