A plane crashed in Nepal with 72 people on board. The crash happened near Pokhara, in Central Nepal. This has been announced by an employee of the airport in that city. The Nepalese army reports that at least 16 people have been killed.
According to local media, bodies have been recovered from the plane wreckage. Unverified photos and videos of a burning wreckage, presumably the crashed aircraft, are circulating on social media.
The Yeti Airlines plane was en route from the capital Kathmandu to Pokhara, in the center of the country. How it could crash is still unclear.
